Afghanistan’s sporting delegation, including seven boxers, two coaches and accompanying officials, has departed for China on a special flight to take part in the fourth International Boxing Festival.<\/p>\n
The Afghanistan Boxing Federation said the team members were selected on the basis of domestic competition results and technical assessments of athletes. According to the federation, the aim of the trip is to compete internationally and showcase the potential of Afghan boxers on the global stage.<\/p>\n
The fourth edition of the festival will be held in China from September 14 to 30 this year. Published information said the event will not be limited to official bouts and will also include a joint training camp for the participating teams.<\/p>\n
Afghan sports officials said participation in the programme could help introduce the country’s sporting talent and expand sporting ties with other countries. They also stressed that the experience would improve athletes’ readiness for future Asian and world competitions.<\/p>\n
