The International Energy Agency has said Saudi Arabia’s crude oil supply in August fell to 6 million barrels per day, a figure it said was the lowest in more than three decades.<\/p>\n
According to the agency’s monthly oil market report, Saudi Arabia’s oil supply this month fell by 2.3 million barrels per day from the previous month. The agency also said the figure it recorded for Saudi Arabia’s oil supply was lower than the number Riyadh reported.<\/p>\n
Saudi Arabia had reported to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, that the country’s oil supply last month stood at 7.122 million barrels per day. At the same time, Riyadh told OPEC that its oil production in August reached 6.238 million barrels per day, a figure the International Energy Agency said was close to its estimate of oil supply.<\/p>\n
The International Energy Agency also lowered its forecast for Saudi Arabia’s crude oil supply in 2026. It cut its latest estimate by 885,000 barrels to 7.6 million barrels per day.<\/p>\n
According to the agency, the revision was due to delays in the recovery of production by Gulf countries in the Middle East.
