According to him, more than 128 members of the Taliban administration were killed or wounded in these attacks.

The United Front leader also said repression, torture and killings continue in Afghanistan, and that many Afghans are leaving the country for Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Europe and the United States. He blamed the Taliban administration for this situation and added that, meanwhile, members of terrorist groups from various countries are taking refuge in Afghanistan.

According to Massoud, the Taliban administration has established thousands of religious schools over the past five years, and around two million Afghan children are now studying in them. He claims that these centres teach children violence, hatred and the destruction of others in the name of religion.

He also said al Qaeda is now more cohesive and better equipped than before. Massoud described the US agreement with the Taliban administration as a mistake by US leaders and said the Taliban’s return and al Qaeda’s strengthening were not the result of victory on the battlefield.

In another part of his remarks, Massoud referred to events after the Sept. 11 attacks and said Afghans fought terrorism alongside US forces for 20 years. He added that during that period, institutions and infrastructure developed and Afghan youth gained access to education and global opportunities, but that this process, he said, came at a heavy cost for the people of Afghanistan.

In this context, he also referred to the killing of Ahmad Shah Massoud on 9 September 2001 by al Qaeda operatives, as well as the assassination of Burhanuddin Rabbani, the former president and head of the High Peace Council. Afghanistan’s United Front is an opposition movement to the Taliban administration that speaks of both military and political resistance against it.

Ahmad Massoud says Afghanistan still suffers under Taliban rule and calls for global support for the United Front against terrorist groups.

[17,4

post-21586","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-politics
["GET
