US Vice President JD Vance has claimed that Iran has few options left and that a deal with Tehran could be reached if Donald Trump decides to pursue one.<\/p>\n
According to Al Jazeera, citing US officials, Vance also claimed that the United States has deprived Iran of oil exports and that the country no longer earns revenue from the energy sector.<\/p>\n
Without providing further details, he said pressure on Iran has narrowed Tehran’s options and that this situation could create the conditions for an agreement.<\/p>\n
The remarks came as Trump, in his latest comments, also repeated claims about Iran. He said the United States would prevail if it went to war with Iran and that it controls the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
The US president also claimed that Iran is collapsing and that the country’s situation has changed compared with previous decades. Trump meanwhile described his own performance over the past two years as successful.<\/p>\n
