The three-day conference brought together diplomats, ambassadors from 13 countries, and cultural attachés from 32 nations, aiming to strengthen multilateral cooperation.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture, which announced Tamkin’s participation, described the event as an opportunity to expand cultural, healthcare, and tourism ties among countries. According to the ministry’s statement, such programs can enhance mutual understanding and promote the exchange of experiences among nations.

Tamkin’s participation comes amid continued criticism from cultural figures and political analysts both inside and outside Afghanistan, who question the Taliban administration’s claim to represent the country’s cultural community.
