According to the group, vaccinating people while they are on the move can reduce the risk of virus transmission.<\/p>\n<p>Afghanistan Polio-Free also reiterated that the polio vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect children against the disease. It urged families to vaccinate their children against polio.<\/p>\n<p>The warning comes after officials from the Taliban administration&#8217;s Public Health Department in Nangarhar recently announced that five positive polio cases had been recorded in the province.
