The projects are being carried out with the cooperation of local residents, alongside limited government funding.<\/p>\n<p>Zabihullah Himat, spokesman for the Taliban-run Ministry of Education, told Pajhwok news agency that construction of a new building for the intermediate school in Sine village of Jurm district in Badakhshan province began on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the building will cost 1.5 million Afghanis, and local residents have also contributed to its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the information provided by the official, the one-storey building will have 10 classrooms, and once completed, it will provide hundreds of students with access to education in a more suitable environment. Mawlawi Mohammad Tahir Javad, head of education in Badakhshan, also said at the foundation-laying ceremony that residents had cooperated in purchasing the land and building the school.<\/p>\n<p>Himat also said construction of a new building for Al-Taqwa high school in Mata Khan district of Paktika province has begun. According to him, the building will be constructed at a cost of 500,000 Afghanis with the cooperation of local residents and will include eight classrooms and other facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Education officials in Badakhshan and Paktika thanked residents for their cooperation in building these schools and said that once the buildings are completed, students will have access to a better educational environment.
