The Taliban administration has rejected the use of Afghan territory against other countries, following regional concerns over the activities of armed groups, and said it will not allow Afghan soil to be used against other states.<\/p>\n
Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban administration, told RIA Novosti that Kabul would not allow anyone to use Afghan territory to pose a threat to other countries. He also claimed that all of Afghanistan is under the control of the central administration.<\/p>\n
The remarks come as Pakistan is among the countries that have accused the Taliban administration of interfering in its internal affairs. Islamabad believes separatist groups and anti-Pakistan terrorist movements, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban, have taken shelter in Afghanistan and are being supported there.<\/p>\n
The Taliban administration has also claimed a significant improvement in the security situation since returning to power; however, this claim comes at a time when the use of Afghan soil has been one of the enduring sources of tension between Kabul and Islamabad.
