Tamadon TV reports that after Taliban authorities raided the Khatam al-Nabiyyin seminary in Kabul, 28 students, teachers and individuals linked to the centre were detained. Four of them have since been released, while 24 others remain in custody.<\/p>\n
According to the media outlet, the people were detained on the orders of Abdul Hakim Shari, the Taliban-appointed acting justice minister, and are currently being held at the Taliban’s Third Security District in Kabul.<\/p>\n
Tamadon TV also said Taliban forces used physical force and acted violently against protesting residents while detaining and transferring these individuals.<\/p>\n
The incident came after Taliban forces raided the Khatam al-Nabiyyin seminary yesterday and attempted to evict the religious centre by force. That evening, a number of western Kabul residents gathered in protest against the move.<\/p>\n
