They also considered continuing joint meetings important for better management of movement and for curbing illegal activities.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, the Taliban border commander, referring to the importance of the Nimroz border in daily travel and commercial exchanges, called for removing existing obstacles and expanding operational coordination. The Iranian official also said Tehran was ready to expand border cooperation and maintain direct communication between the two sides&#8217; border units.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was described as part of ongoing border contacts between Iran and the Taliban administration.
