The restoration and repair work on the shrine of \u062d\u0636\u0631\u062a \u06cc\u062d\u06cc\u06cc \u0628\u0646 \u0632\u06cc\u062f in Sar-e Pol province is nearing its final stage, with a number of service facilities now ready for use, according to the project officials. The matter was raised during a visit by Dr. Seyed Ruhollah Hosseini, cultural adviser of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, to Sar-e Pol and his inspection of various parts of the religious complex.<\/p>\n
During the visit, areas including the courtyard, yard, pilgrim guesthouse and the sections still under completion were examined. The condition of construction projects, welfare facilities for pilgrims and the remaining needs of the religious site were also assessed.<\/p>\n
According to information provided by the project officials, the shrine\u2019s toilet facilities have been fully constructed and include 20 rooms, among them 10 rooms for women and 10 for men. The new ablution area has also been completed.<\/p>\n
The same officials said work on digging a deep well in the shrine courtyard has been completed, making it possible to provide a stable water supply for the complex. Concrete pouring in the courtyard has also been finished, and large areas of the grounds are now ready for pilgrims to use.<\/p>\n
In another part of the project, repair work on the shrine roof has reached 90 percent completion. Waterproofing, bitumen insulation, fixing leaks, slope formation and gravel work are among the tasks that have been carried out or are still being completed.<\/p>\n
Drainage channels around the yard and water outflow routes have also been completed, a measure considered important for managing surface water and preventing water from pooling in the shrine grounds.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Dr. Hosseini stressed the need for precise and high-quality implementation of the construction work and said attention to pilgrims\u2019 needs and preserving the site\u2019s cultural and religious status should be a priority. He also described the shrine of \u062d\u0636\u0631\u062a \u06cc\u062d\u06cc\u06cc \u0628\u0646 \u0632\u06cc\u062f as one of the important pilgrimage sites for the people of Sar-e Pol.<\/p>\n
On the sidelines of the visit, the Iranian cultural adviser also met with a number of local residents and heard their views and suggestions on completing the remaining stages of the project. According to IRAF, a full report of the visit is to be sent to Tehran for further follow-up.<\/p>\n
