The Republican Front claimed its fighters left the area after carrying out the operation.<\/p>\n<p>The statement also stressed the continuation of armed struggle against the Taliban administration. Taliban officials have not yet commented on the attack.<\/p>\n<p>The Afghanistan Republican Front is a newly formed armed group opposed to the Taliban administration, led by Tahir Zahir, the former governor of Bamiyan.
