Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy to the Taliban-run administration\u2019s prime minister, has called on investors to put money into Afghanistan\u2019s housing sector, as the country continues to face a shortage of homes and rising demand for shelter in cities.<\/p>\n
He made the remarks at a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for block B4 of the \u201cPeace Town\u201d residential project for Microryan V in Kabul. According to him, investment in the housing sector could help meet part of Afghanistan\u2019s need for housing and shelter.<\/p>\n
Baradar also said that population growth in Kabul and a shortage of houses are problems that can be eased, to some extent, through residential projects. He urged the company implementing the project to observe standards and quality at every stage of the work.<\/p>\n
