Putin also said Russia and Iran have maintained economic relations despite the current military and political situation.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sputnik, the Russian president also welcomed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, but said the ceasefire was fragile. He added that relations between Moscow and Tehran are expanding at all levels and stressed humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>The TASS news agency also reported that Putin asked Pezeshkian during the meeting to convey his greetings to Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
