Russia\u2019s Defence Ministry said its forces carried out a large-scale attack on facilities linked to Ukraine\u2019s military industry and fuel and energy sector in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, Odesa and the Odesa region.<\/p>\n
According to the ministry, the strikes were carried out with high-precision weapons and targeted centres involved in the production of missiles, drones, related components and in supplying fuel to the Ukrainian armed forces.<\/p>\n
The Russian Defence Ministry also claimed that infrastructure facilities in Odesa and the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, which were used to store military cargo, fuel and lubricants, were damaged in the attacks.<\/p>\n
The ministry said Fire Point LLC in Kyiv, which produced components for Flamingo missiles, warheads and solid-fuel boosters, was hit. Russia also claimed a defence technology company in Kyiv that made airborne systems for drones, including Hornet-type drones, was also attacked.<\/p>\n
The Russian Defence Ministry added that the Darnytsia depot in Kyiv, one of the centres used to store locomotives for transporting military cargo, was targeted. It also claimed that facilities in Khotiv in the Kyiv region used for assembling, hardening and storing unmanned boats were damaged.<\/p>\n
The ministry said an oil terminal in Boryspil, a border post and a ferry crossing in the town of Orlivka in the Odesa region were also targeted. Russian officials also said a thermal power plant, three electrical substations and a drone assembly centre in and around Odesa were among the targets.<\/p>\n
Russia also claimed that in the port of Odesa, 16 warehouses containing weapons and military equipment and six tanks of fuel and lubricants, which it said had been supplied by Western countries to the Ukrainian army, were hit. The ministry also reported attacks on two more warehouses in the port of Chornomorsk.<\/p>\n
Kyiv is Ukraine\u2019s capital, while Odesa and Chornomorsk are among the country\u2019s key Black Sea ports, which have repeatedly been at the centre of attacks and claims by both sides during the Russia-Ukraine war.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
