The three countries also said they had agreed on the next steps to institutionalise their joint cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>According to the joint statement, a secretariat is to be established in Saudi Arabia to support the activities of the three countries. Pakistan will also chair the secretariat for its first three-year term.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan stressed in the statement that they will continue efforts to reduce tensions, exercise restraint and contribute to regional peace and stability. They also said they are committed to the defensive nature of this partnership and the principle of mutual respect for the sovereignty of states.<\/p>\n<p>The statement also said cooperation among the three countries includes enhancing defence capabilities, strengthening defence industries, and developing production and technology.
