Authorities in Logar province have said that four separate traffic incidents in the provincial capital and three other districts left two people dead and 10 others injured.<\/p>\n
Mawlawi Ahmadullah Ans, spokesman for the Logar police command, told Pajhwok that the first incident occurred last evening in the Al-Tamur area of Pul-i-Alam city during a wedding ceremony, when two vehicles collided. He said one person was killed and eight others were injured in the incident.<\/p>\n
He added that three other traffic accidents also occurred in the districts of Mohammad Agha, Baraki Barak and Charkh, in which one person was killed and two women were injured.<\/p>\n
According to the Logar police spokesman, the injured were taken to the provincial hospital with the cooperation of security forces and local residents. He said the condition of some of the injured was reported to be critical.<\/p>\n
Local officials have cited driver carelessness and speeding as the initial cause of the incidents.<\/p>\n
