An explosion on a boat in City Island in New York\u2019s Bronx borough left four people injured. New York City fire officials said the cause of the incident is under investigation.<\/p>\n
According to the New York Post, the boat caught fire after the explosion, leaving only a burning hull near the dock. The damaged vessel was reported to be a 30-foot 1999 Sea Ray.<\/p>\n
Witnesses said the incident likely occurred shortly after the boat left the dock and refuelled. They said one person was also thrown into the water as a result of the blast.<\/p>\n
According to eyewitnesses, the captain of the boat had just filled the tank around 2 p.m. on Saturday local time when the explosion occurred. Two men and two women on board were injured in the incident.<\/p>\n
