The Taliban administration’s Ministry of Public Health has said it has signed a memorandum of understanding worth more than $1.022 million with the Hiwad organization to expand mothers’ and children’s access to health services in 14 provinces.<\/p>\n
According to the ministry, the agreement is valid for one year and will provide health services in 35 psycho-social service centres in the provinces of Badakhshan, Badghis, Ghazni, Helmand, Kabul, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Paktia, Panjshir, Sar-e Pol, Takhar, Uruzgan and Zabul.<\/p>\n
The Taliban administration says that with the implementation of this project, 111,894 residents of these provinces will benefit from health services, and employment opportunities in the health sector will also be created for 204 people.<\/p>\n
The Taliban administration’s Ministry of Public Health said the purpose of signing the memorandum was to improve the quality of health services, increase public access to services and reduce health problems. According to the statement, representatives of the Hiwad organization also pledged to implement the project within one year in line with the set standards.<\/p>\n
