{"id":20618,"date":"2026-08-29T11:12:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T11:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/08\/29\/uzbekistan-constructive-policy-afghanistan\/"},"modified":"2026-08-29T11:12:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T11:12:16","slug":"uzbekistan-constructive-policy-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/08\/29\/uzbekistan-constructive-policy-afghanistan\/","title":{"rendered":"Uzbekistan says it will continue constructive policy toward Afghanistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said his country will continue its constructive policy toward Afghanistan on a sustained basis.<\/p>\n<p>He made the remarks at a ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, saying Tashkent relies on a multilateral, balanced and measured approach in its foreign policy.<\/p>\n<p>In part of his speech, Mirziyoyev referred to Afghanistan and stressed that Uzbekistan would maintain the same constructive approach toward its neighbour.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, the Uzbek president has repeatedly stressed expanding economic and trade ties with Afghanistan and supporting regional stability and connectivity.
