{"id":20582,"date":"2026-08-29T06:45:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T06:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/08\/29\/solar-powered-water-supply-network-kandahar-torkhail-dasht-e-archi\/"},"modified":"2026-08-29T06:45:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T06:45:15","slug":"solar-powered-water-supply-network-kandahar-torkhail-dasht-e-archi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/08\/29\/solar-powered-water-supply-network-kandahar-torkhail-dasht-e-archi\/","title":{"rendered":"Solar-Powered Water Supply Network Put Into Service in Kandahar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Taliban administration in Kandahar has said construction of a water supply network equipped with a solar power system in Torkhail village of the Dasht-e Archi district in the province has been completed and put into service.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Taliban-run Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in the province, the project was built at a cost of 9 million afghanis, and with its activation, 394 families have gained access to clean drinking water.<\/p>\n<p>Local residents said they previously faced many problems because of the lack of clean water, but the creation of this network has greatly eased their water shortage.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development is among the bodies responsible for implementing rural projects in areas such as water supply, roads and basic services.
