U.S. Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen has criticised Donald Trump\u2019s handling of Iran, saying he is \u201cbrazenly\u201d exploiting an \u201cillegal war\u201d against Iran.<\/p>\n
According to Al Mayadeen, citing Mehr News Agency, Van Hollen also said Trump is politically exploiting the suffering of the American people, including the consequences of what he described as a \u201cuseless\u201d war.<\/p>\n
Hours before these remarks, another U.S. senator, Bernie Sanders, also criticised Trump\u2019s foreign policy in a post on the social media platform X. He wrote that America\u2019s standing in the world is declining and that Trump is simultaneously engaged in a war with Iran, a trade war with Canada and a cold war with China.<\/p>\n
Sanders also warned that Trump\u2019s empowerment of Benjamin Netanyahu is fuelling the escalation of crises.
