The discussions also covered several other regional and international issues.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Jaishankar travelled to Moscow on Monday, 2 Sonbula, to take part in a meeting of the Russia-India intergovernmental commission. In a statement, the ministry said the two sides also discussed Iran and Ukraine, alongside Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added that the foreign ministers of the two countries also exchanged views on joint cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, BRICS and the Group of 20. No further details were released about the focus of the talks on Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being the only country that has formally recognised the Taliban administration, Russia continues to express concern over drug trafficking, the activity of terrorist groups and the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan.
