Gholamhossein Mozaffari, a high-ranking official from Iran’s Khorasan Razavi province, has announced plans to visit Afghanistan in the near future. According to Mozaffari, the visit is in response to a recent trip by the governor of Herat to Khorasan Razavi.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that the main focus of the discussions during this trip will be expanding economic relations, strengthening trade exchanges, and addressing border and security challenges between the two sides. These issues hold particular significance amid ongoing instability in western Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
Mozaffari further noted that the “overseas cultivation” plan is among the proposals the Taliban administration is interested in exploring. This initiative involves Iran conducting agricultural operations on Afghan soil\u2014an arrangement that could carry significant economic and environmental implications for residents of border areas.<\/p>\n
He stated that necessary coordination for the trip is being conducted through Iran\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that the economic team from Khorasan province has prepared proposals related to the visit.<\/p>\n
