WHO stressed that these services were delivered with support from the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.<\/p>\n<p>According to the agency, with this backing more than 42,000 people in Afghanistan\u2019s most vulnerable communities received essential health services. WHO also said disease surveillance for early detection was strengthened under the same support.<\/p>\n<p>Afghanistan has faced major health-sector challenges in recent years, and reports show that after the return of the Taliban administration, the country\u2019s health system has come under even greater strain.
