Mahmood Khan Achakzai has called on Pakistan to end what he described as \u201chostility toward Afghanistan.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Pakistani media, he made the remarks at a meeting of opposition parties hosted by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Pakistan\u2019s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party.<\/p>\n
Achakzai said that if the Pakistani government believes Afghanistan is pursuing a hostile policy toward Islamabad, it should share its documents and evidence with the public.<\/p>\n
He also called on Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to explain to Pakistani citizens the country’s recent defence agreement with Saudi Arabia and Turkey.<\/p>\n
Achakzai further suggested that Iran and Egypt could also join the agreement. He claimed that expanding this cooperation could pave the way for the creation of an Islamic force.<\/p>\n
Mahmood Khan Achakzai is a well-known political figure in Pakistan and a critic of Islamabad’s policies toward Afghanistan. He has repeatedly called in the past for a review of relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
