The Taliban administration did not release further details about the signatories or the exact timing of the agreements taking effect.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the claim by the Taliban governor\u2019s media office, the meeting focused on expanding trade and transit, with both sides stressing increased movement of cargo trucks, easier conditions for traders and the removal of border obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>The two sides also agreed to implement three earlier memorandums of understanding and to expand cooperation in health, trade and technical services.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban governor\u2019s media office described the agreements as part of efforts to increase trade between Afghanistan and Iran, and said they could help secure construction materials, boost exports and strengthen transit routes.<\/p>\n<p>Farah is one of Afghanistan\u2019s western provinces bordering Iran and is considered one of the key commercial crossings between the two countries.
