US President Donald Trump on Monday repeated his earlier controversial remarks, criticising Oman\u2019s conduct while also reviving claims about Iran\u2019s nuclear programme.<\/p>\n
According to Fox News, Trump, in response to a reporter\u2019s question about his earlier threat against Oman, said he did not think the Omanis had \u201cbehaved very well,\u201d but added that the United States had dealt with them \u201cvery easily.\u201d<\/p>\n
He then claimed, without regard to the peaceful nature of Tehran\u2019s nuclear programme, that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon and never will. Trump also said Iran wants a deal, but not one that, in Washington\u2019s view, is considered necessary.<\/p>\n
The comments came after Trump had previously warned that if Oman hindered Washington, the United States would bomb the country heavily.<\/p>\n
