Tensions in the war of words between the Taliban administration and Pakistan have escalated again, with a Taliban military official warning that any action from Pakistani soil against Afghanistan will be met with ground and air operations.<\/p>\n
Abdul Hakim Nizami, deputy of the Taliban administration’s “201 Khalid bin Waleed Corps,” made the warning at a ceremony marking the fifth anniversary of the administration’s return to power. He urged residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa not to allow their areas to be used for actions against Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Pakistani government should not use areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to disrupt the current security and order in Afghanistan. The Taliban administration official also said that people who set up centres in Pakistan to operate against Afghanistan will be targeted and those centres will be destroyed.<\/p>\n
Nizami also claimed that the Taliban administration would not remain silent in the face of anti-Afghanistan actions and that the patience of the administration’s officials toward Pakistan had been exhausted.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid had also accused Pakistan of sheltering a number of opponents of the administration and of trying to create a centre, office and safe place for them.<\/p>\n
