The Kandahar Department of Information and Culture said in a statement that Haibatullah made the remarks last night at a gathering at the Kandahar military airfield. According to the department, he also said the Taliban administration would remain committed to what he described as the \u201cdivine and religious rights of the people\u201d rather than accept \u201cunwarranted orders.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the leader of the Taliban administration once again stressed unity and obedience. Senior civilian and military officials from Kandahar province also attended the meeting.<\/p>\n
