The Guardian has reported that NATO member states\u2019 inability to supply Patriot missiles has left Ukraine facing a serious shortage of defensive equipment in the middle of the war.<\/p>\n
According to the report, NATO members have been unable to meet Kyiv\u2019s urgent need for these missiles, and as a result Ukraine has not reached an adequate level of air defence capability.<\/p>\n
The Guardian said uncertainty over the United States\u2019 position on delivering Patriot system missiles has also added to the situation, making access to this equipment more difficult for Kyiv.<\/p>\n
The report said that the continuation of this situation would not only have heavy consequences for Ukraine, but could also leave Europe vulnerable to similar threats in the future.<\/p>\n
The Guardian also said that fully covering Ukraine\u2019s territory would require a volume of Patriot missiles four times greater than their annual production.
