Local sources in Badakhshan say the Taliban administration has detained General Jalil, a former military officer, in the Shaki district of the province and transferred him to an unknown location.<\/p>\n
According to the sources, the detention took place on Friday, 23 Asad, in the village of Zharaf in Shaki district, and Taliban special unit forces took him away.<\/p>\n
At the same time, the sources said the Taliban administration also began house-to-house search operations this morning in the Nasi district of Badakhshan, an action reported amid continuing security tensions in the province.<\/p>\n
Based on information from the sources, clashes between Taliban fighters and the forces of Juma Khan Fatah have continued from Tuesday last week until now. The sources also said that during the fighting, a Taliban helicopter was brought down and all seven people on board were killed.<\/p>\n
