The ministry said the drugs were recovered by anti-narcotics forces of Balkh police command.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry added that initial investigations into the detainees are under way and that their cases will be referred to judicial authorities after the preliminary inquiry is completed.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban also claims that since its return to power, restrictions have been imposed on the narcotics trade in Afghanistan, and that in the past nearly five years dozens of facilities linked to these drugs have been identified and destroyed.
