The Washington Post reports that U.S. President Donald Trump was secretly transferred from the airfield to another aircraft last month after the NATO summit in Turkey, in a covert security move.<\/p>\n
According to the newspaper, Trump first boarded the U.S. presidential aircraft in Ankara in front of television cameras, but a few minutes later was secretly moved using a small service vehicle used to transport food at the airport to a U.S. Air Force C-32A transport plane.<\/p>\n
The Washington Post, citing informed sources, said the move was made because of security concerns and fear of an assassination threat from Iran. According to the report, the operation was carried out without the knowledge of the journalists traveling with Trump and some White House staff who were on the presidential plane.<\/p>\n
The newspaper added that Trump, together with U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, flew to Britain on a small C-32A aircraft with its transponders turned off. It said that after arriving at RAF Mildenhall, he quietly returned to Air Force One and then appeared before reporters via the external stairs.<\/p>\n
The Washington Post also reported that during his recent trip to Washington, Trump told the media about ongoing threats to his life from Tehran, but did not say anything about the secret operation.<\/p>\n
