The Office of the Economic Deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister’s Administration announced the inauguration of a laboratory for assessing the quality of food, medicine, and health products in Herat province. This move comes as citizens have repeatedly complained about the poor quality of imported goods and domestic products.<\/p>\n
According to the office, the laboratory was opened on Sunday, August 9, in a ceremony attended by Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Economic Deputy, and Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister’s Administration.<\/p>\n
At the opening event, Abdul Ghani Baradar stated that from now on, the quality and authenticity of imported food, medicine, and health products from neighboring and other countries will be checked through this laboratory. He claimed that this would prevent the entry of low-quality, counterfeit, and substandard materials.<\/p>\n
He also asserted that alongside evaluating imported items, the laboratory will examine the quality of domestic products to facilitate the development of exports.<\/p>\n
The Taliban’s Economic Deputy urged traders to refrain from importing low-quality products and called on domestic producers to pay more attention to the quality of their goods.<\/p>\n
Previously, the Taliban administration had announced the establishment of similar laboratories in other cities.
