Khost Municipality announced the completion and inauguration of over one kilometer of road at a cost of nearly 30 million Afghani in the city\u2019s second and third districts.<\/p>\n
According to Engineer Rahmatullah Pajwak, Head of Technical and Professional Services at Khost Municipality, the project was carried out over nine months and includes the construction of approximately 1,300 meters of road and more than 2,500 meters of gutters.<\/p>\n
He also stated that in the solar year 1405, Khost Municipality plans to implement 30 development projects, with a budget allocation of 292 million Afghani.<\/p>\n
Residents and shopkeepers of the second and third districts say that previously the roads were unpaved and during rainfall would fill with mud and water, making commuting difficult. Seyed Nawaz Faqirzi, a local resident, said the previous condition of the roads caused serious challenges for daily travel.<\/p>\n
Jahadgul, a shopkeeper in the area, expressed hope that with the proper construction of roads and gutters, transportation problems would be reduced and have a positive impact on their businesses.<\/p>\n
