Meanwhile, the Associated Press, citing two regional officials, reported that Iranian and Omani negotiators have finalized a draft agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which is now awaiting final approval from senior Iranian authorities.<\/p>\n
According to the report, this potential agreement is proposed as a temporary solution to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran concerning the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. It is also linked to a memorandum of understanding signed in June between the U.S. and Iran aimed at ending conflicts and reopening this waterway, which ultimately did not come to fruition.<\/p>\n
