According to the source, due to Israel’s insistence on prior approval of Lebanese army activities in western Zottar and Faroun, no new trial zones were designated.

The source added that during the negotiations, the Lebanese delegation raised issues related to the stabilization of the ceasefire, border demarcation, the status of prisoners, and trial zones.

According to the report, these discussions are set to continue in the eighth round of talks, scheduled for early September. It was also agreed to refer the matter to the United Nations Security Council to consider the possibility of issuing a resolution regarding the post-UNIFIL phase.

Meanwhile, as the talks in Rome continued, Israel carried out several airstrikes on two villages in southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening. The Israeli army also announced on Thursday that two of its soldiers had been killed in southern Lebanon.

The seventh round of Lebanon-Israel negotiations in Rome ended without agreement on implementation responsibilities amid ongoing border and ceasefire issues.

[6

post-19197","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international
["GET
