However, this figure remains significantly below the declared capacities and targets set by the two countries.

According to the ministry, Uzbekistan is Afghanistan’s third-largest export market, with Afghan exports to Uzbekistan amounting to $151 million last year. This indicates a trade balance heavily in favor of Uzbekistan.

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment has also reported that the private sectors of both countries signed nearly 290 agreements and memorandums of understanding this year, with a total value of $4 billion.

Taliban officials stated that both sides are striving to raise the level of trade exchanges to $5 billion in the coming years through cooperation in energy, transit, industry, and investment. Achieving this goal depends on improving infrastructure and the practical conditions for trade between the two countries.

Taliban ministry reports Afghanistan-Uzbekistan trade reached $1.2 billion last year, with plans to boost it to $5 billion through enhanced cooperation.

[7,17

post-18849","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","category-important-news
["GET
