The Public Relations Office of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement warning countries that assist the \u201caggressor\u201d that if they do not change their behavior, they will face a severe response. This warning comes as tensions escalate in the waters south of Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
The statement also alleged that last night two oil tankers, reportedly provoked by American aircraft, attempted to exit through an unsafe passage south of the Strait of Hormuz. However, following a severe fire on one of the vessels, both ships changed course and returned.<\/p>\n
The IRGC emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is \u201cour territory\u201d and that its naval forces maintain control over it. According to the statement, no \u201cforeign entity coming from thousands of kilometers away\u201d will be allowed to interfere.<\/p>\n
