According to the administration, this move aims to increase the movement of cargo trucks and facilitate regional trade.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the commission\u2019s decision, responsible agencies have been tasked with developing the necessary infrastructure at Sherkhan Bandar port and extending the operating hours of this commercial crossing to ease the transfer of goods between Afghanistan and the aforementioned countries.<\/p>\n<p>This decision was made during an Economic Commission meeting chaired by Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Taliban administration, following a review of proposals by the Ministry of Transport and Aviation.<\/p>\n<p>Sherkhan Bandar, located in Kunduz province, is one of Afghanistan\u2019s most important trade gateways to Central Asia.
