This incident has again raised concerns about the security situation in the province.<\/p>\n<p>Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for Badakhshan police command, confirmed that the attack was carried out by two armed motorcycle riders. According to him, during the clash, one of the assailants was killed by Amiri\u2019s bodyguards.<\/p>\n<p>Kamgar added that security forces\u2019 efforts to identify and arrest the other perpetrators are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the motive behind the attack and the identities of those responsible have not been officially announced, and no individual or group has claimed responsibility.
