The two sides discussed expanding economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Taliban Ministry of Finance, the meeting covered topics such as reactivating joint economic commissions, establishing a fully equipped oil laboratory at the Hairatan port, facilitating customs processes for exports and imports, and increasing the volume of bilateral trade. Other points of discussion included connecting and activating customs systems, harmonizing oil standards, and modernizing customs offices through the use of advanced equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry stated that the head of Uzbekistan\u2019s Standards Agency expressed his country\u2019s readiness to establish a fully equipped laboratory at the Hairatan port to inspect export and import goods. He also added that training opportunities for Afghan personnel in this field will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>The acting Taliban Minister of Finance welcomed the proposal, emphasizing the development of economic cooperation with Uzbekistan. He stated that Afghanistan is ready to expand bilateral relations with neighboring countries, especially Uzbekistan, in trade and economic sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Hairatan port, located in Balkh province, is one of Afghanistan\u2019s most important trade gateways to Uzbekistan.
