The United Nations has stated that despite some progress in Bamyan province, the region still faces extensive economic and service needs, making ongoing international support essential to improving the residents’ living conditions.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, July 26, the UN described Bamyan as one of the most remote provinces in the country, noting that its unique geographical position, cold and prolonged winters, and difficult roads limit residents’ access to basic services and economic opportunities for months.<\/p>\n
According to the UN, despite these challenges, development projects in agriculture, irrigation, livelihoods, women’s empowerment, cultural heritage protection, and health services are ongoing in the province. The organization added that these programs are implemented in collaboration with partner institutions.<\/p>\n
The report stated that these projects help families cope with daily challenges, increase their income levels, protect cultural heritage, and reduce vulnerability to natural disasters.<\/p>\n
