According to the administration, once completed, the project will irrigate five thousand jeribs of agricultural land.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Energy and Water announced today (Saturday) on its X (formerly Twitter) page that the execution of these projects began in the presence of the provincial representative, the Qarabagh district governor, the head of Ghazni’s sub-river basin, and several tribal elders.

According to information provided by the ministry, the Shirabad canal is 6,147 meters long and includes four culverts, four superpass structures, and ten water inlets. The canal’s water transfer capacity is 0.5 cubic meters per second and is expected to be completed within 15 months.

Additionally, the Ministry of Energy and Water states that the small Shirabad dam measures eight meters in length, 58 meters in height, and has a water storage capacity of 100,000 cubic meters. Its construction is projected to be completed within six months. These projects are being implemented under the supervision of Ghazni’s sub-river basin authority.

The ministry added that the implementation of these plans will provide employment for dozens of individuals and, besides irrigating agricultural lands, will contribute to groundwater recharge and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Access to water and the development of standard irrigation infrastructure remain fundamental needs for residents in many provinces across the country.

Taliban’s Ministry of Energy and Water starts building a small canal and dam in Ghazni with a 26 million afghani budget to irrigate 5,000 jeribs of farmland.

[7

post-18329","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business
["GET
