According to a report by Bakhtar Agency, the land has been transferred from the Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock to the Directorate of Industry and Trade of Samangan. Mawlawi Ahmad Khan Khadim, head of Samangan’s Industry and Trade department, stated that the site is located in the Qechandra area along the Samangan-Pulkhumri highway, within the jurisdiction of Aibak city. He explained that the purpose of this allocation is to attract investment, boost production, create sustainable employment, and strengthen the province’s economy. He added that establishing the industrial park could play an important role in expanding Samangan’s manufacturing sector. This land allocation for industrial parks comes amid widespread complaints from residents across provinces about a lack of job opportunities and economic stagnation. It is hoped that such projects will progress beyond announcements and land allocation to active implementation and effective operation.
