Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party, has accused the Pakistani government of having allowed American forces to use Pakistan’s airspace and territory to carry out attacks on Afghanistan during a certain period. Fazl-ur-Rehman described this action as the “plundering” of Afghanistan and emphasized that Pakistan’s previous policies toward Afghanistan require serious reconsideration. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader also criticized the internal policies of Pakistan’s government, alleging that authorities are avoiding the registration of religious schools to prevent their students from participating in protests. He accused the government of militarily suppressing protesters and stated that this process continues.<\/p>\n
Fazl-ur-Rehman further called for the release of Imran Khan, Pakistan\u2019s former prime minister, adding that without changes to current policies, achieving stability will not be possible. He did not specify the exact timeframe he was referring to when accusing the government of enabling US attacks on Afghanistan.
