Sami-ul-Haq Haqbian, head of the Taliban\u2019s Information and Culture Department in Nuristan, mentioned that among these sites are several religious places that residents used to visit for pilgrimage.<\/p>\n<p>However, Nuristan residents say that mere registration is not enough; practical measures must be taken to prevent further destruction and to rehabilitate these sites.<\/p>\n<p>Experts believe that neglecting this heritage could weaken cultural identity and reduce tourism potential. Conversely, preserving and restoring these sites not only safeguards cultural values but also provides opportunities for scientific research and economic growth.
