On Thursday, July 16, Tahir Hussain Andrabi said at a press conference that until these guarantees are provided along with practical measures, the ‘frost in relations’ between the two sides will not thaw.

He emphasized that Pakistan expects the Taliban administration to clearly commit that Afghan territory will not be used to plan, support, or carry out terrorist attacks against Pakistan. According to him, merely stating a position is insufficient, and Islamabad seeks tangible actions in this regard.

Security tensions between the two parties persist, while Pakistani officials have previously expressed concerns over the activities of armed groups opposing Pakistan in certain areas of Afghanistan. In response, the Taliban administration has consistently denied these allegations, but Islamabad insists that it requires specific and assessable guarantees.

Experts believe that the ongoing situation could affect the political and economic relations between the two neighbors, especially as Afghanistan faces extensive security and economic challenges and needs stable regional relations.

Pakistan demands written guarantees from the Taliban to stop terrorist activities for improved diplomatic and economic ties between the two neighbors.

[17,4,16

post-17761","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-politics","category-secondary-headline
["GET
