The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announced that improving relations between Islamabad and the Taliban administration depends on receiving official, written, and verifiable guarantees from the Taliban to prevent terrorist activities against Pakistan. On Thursday, July 16, Tahir Hussain Andrabi said at a press conference that until these guarantees are provided along with practical measures, the ‘frost in relations’ between the two sides will not thaw.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that Pakistan expects the Taliban administration to clearly commit that Afghan territory will not be used to plan, support, or carry out terrorist attacks against Pakistan. According to him, merely stating a position is insufficient, and Islamabad seeks tangible actions in this regard.<\/p>\n
