The international agency stressed that depriving girls of schooling will have long-term consequences for the entire society.

Meanwhile, OCHA also shared the concerns of a mother from Bamyan province, who fears that her daughter’s future will be darkened by the ongoing denial of education and that she will lose vital life opportunities.

Since the Taliban’s return to power, girls above the sixth grade have been barred from attending school, and strict restrictions have been imposed on higher education, women’s employment, and their movement without a male chaperone. These policies have drawn widespread domestic and international criticism, and human rights organizations have continuously called for the immediate lifting of educational restrictions on girls.

Education experts believe that continuing this situation threatens not only the individual futures of girls but also poses serious challenges to Afghanistan’s development and self-sufficiency. This issue has now become one of the global community’s most urgent concerns regarding Afghanistan.

UN OCHA stresses girls’ education as a key investment in Afghanistan’s future, highlighting the social and economic impact amid ongoing Taliban restrictions.

[17,4

post-17733","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-politics
["GET
